Hi seniors! Some good news from the admins: "If seniors have completed their final exams and coursework for their current classes, they do not have to report to school next week. Absences next week will not count against them for the graduation or prom requirement. If seniors are on campus next week, the expectation will be that it is solely for the purpose of finishing up their final exams and coursework requirements for graduation so that we don't have seniors just hanging out for the day."

As the date for RCSA's 2018 graduation moves closer, we wanted to send out some information regarding this important event. Graduation will be taking place at Lazzara Hall at the University of North Florida on Tuesday, May 29th at 7:00 pm. Students will be required to attend a mandatory rehearsal earlier that same day at 1:00 pm. As mentioned earlier this year, there is a required $100 senior fee that covers the cost of the graduation venue and the cap and gown for the event, which students will be able to keep after the event is over. The deadline for paying this senior fee is Friday, May 4th. This fee also includes 10 tickets for friends and family members to attend the commencement ceremony. This will be all of the tickets we are able to give out for this event. There will be a senior meeting tomorrow at 8:30am in the cafeteria. We will be going over important graduation information and getting cap and gown sizes , so don't miss it!

Hi seniors! Here is a list of local scholarships you should consider applying to. The deadlines are outdated, but definitely try googling them and seeing if you can apply! There are a lot of UNF specific ones at the end of the list as well.

There will be a mandatory meeting this Wednesday at lunch time for all students who are attending the senior trip. Any questions about this meeting can be addressed to Mr. Rose. 

Senior picture day is Monday, November 13th! If you have not booked your session already, please go to session.cadystudios.com to do so. You will not be taking pictures Monday if you do not book your session. The basic fee is $30. If you have booked your session, and you are taking a picture other than the Yearbook background, you are allowed to dress down on Monday! Please remember this for the Yearbook background pictures: Ladies, please bring a tank top or sleeveless top to change into for the picture with the drape. Gentlemen, please bring a plain white t-shirt to change into for the picture with the tux. If you do not book your session for Monday, you will have to go to a studio and get the pictures done on your own time. The deadline to do this is December 1st. Here are the prices for yearbook ads this year! $30 for 1/4 of a page. $50 for 1/2 of page and $90 for a full page of ads. Ads can be created and submitted through yearbookordercenter.com . Questions? Email rcsayearbook2018@gmail.com

Yearbooks are $35! You can now buy yearbooks online and submits ads through the yearbookordercenter.com . The school code is 15149 or you can enter the schools name and choose  River City Science Acad-Mid HS . Hi seniors! There has been some confusion about picture day (October 26th). Seniors are not taking pictures today, unless they need an ID picture*. Senior pictures are November 8th. * If you are new to the school and need a picture taken for your ID, please go down to the front office and ask them when you can get your picture taken.

If you forgot to buy your senior hoodies, or want to buy another one, now is your chance! Bring in $25 to Ms. Ferrari by November 10 to order either the BLACK CROWN design or the PURPLE HAT design!

Next week is college application week! Everyone has a specific day and time assigned to them to meet with Mr. Ozdil. Check with your teachers to find out your assignment!
